Here are a few articles and videos useful for triathlon training for seniors I came across over the past month.

Whether for safety, convenience, or the frightful weather outside, most of us will do some of our triathlon training indoors. Here is a collection of articles covering indoor training for swimming, biking, and running.

There is nothing earth-shattering in this article, but it contains some valuable reminders. Consistent training with some high-intensity periods becomes more important with age. And don’t forget the need for extra protein and extra rest.

What we do immediately after a run affects our recovery and prepares us for our next run. After watching this video, I included foam rolling in my cooldown and stretching. It is encouraging to see how consistent post run stretching can increase flexibility, something valuable for every activity.

Inspiration

Did you know that in the USA, those age 80 and older are the fastest growing age group. Many are still active.

Eighty-one year old Jerry Domack qualified for the 2022 World Triathlon Grand Final Abu Dhabi—Olympic Distance with his performance at the 2021 Toyota USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships in August.
