This 80-year-old Ironman triathlete did his last triathlon five years ago. Rather than let his bikes and other equipment continue to waste away in a corner, he recently sold them.

Why? To encourage the next generation of triathletes. He is donating the proceeds of the sale to a scholarship for a triathlon training summer camp for youth.

From October 3rd to the 15th, St. George, Utah will host the Huntsman World Senior Games. Organizers have modeled the event after the International Olympics, complete with a triathlon and triathlon relay.
